Been in Shanghai for about a week now. The weather was pretty nice when I got here. It was pretty cool and not as humid as I thought it would be. I had to get some pillows and stuff from IKEA because the standard issue stuff was kinda gross lol. Food here is soo cheap and sooo good.

So much has gone on that I dont know where to start. Started off by meeting up with Andrew Chang and his friends that are studying abroad in Seoul, Korea. We went to the Fabric Market where they had custom suits, jackets, 旗袍, etc. You name, it they can make it haha. It was so cheap. I couldnt decide on what style suit I wanted. Anyone got any suggestions? I was thinking of a 3 piece suit and an outer jacket. Also I want to get some slacks and dress shirts =)
Later, went to a few bars to get some drinks with the other Grad students. Those were some good times. haha. Went to the Fu Xing Park and stuff yesterday. It was pretty awesome. I saw people doing the 空竹 there. I even tried it out and almost smacked myself in the face lol.
An integral find on this trip is the basketball courts. I have been itching to play for so long. The ones on Xuhui/Minhang Campus are kinda crappy. The hoops dont have nets so when you shoot, you have to go and retrieve your awesome swisshh that you made lol. Mona showed me this park that was near campus. They have two things that the school ones dont: nets and lights at night. haha. Only thing I can ask for is that these courts stay open for 24 hours. I also found a gym at school. OMG most ghetto gym I have ever seen. I will have to take some pictures of the equipment when I get a chance. Lets just say, I was afraid of getting rust in my mouth lol.
Things are pretty chill here. Cant wait till more people show up to Shanghai. Its almost kinda funny how many people are going to be in Shanghai this summer. Best part is that everyone is coming in waves, so I will at least get the chance to hang out with everyone. Can’t wait to see you guys!! =D
Yay! My first blog since xanga. lol which was sooo long ago. I guess the focus for now will be on my trip to Shanghai for the Grad Shanghai Summer Program! =) I will be posting approximately once a week and will try to include some of the stuff I will encounter on my trip here.
For starters, when I first landed, the weather wasnt as humid as I thought it could be. The weather since Tuesday has been pretty chilly, for Asian standards that is. It’s been great weather to me! =D
